MARDI GRAS!!!!

I had so much fun over the break celebrating Mardi Gras with my family and friends. On Saturday I went uptown with my friends to watch Endymion, my favorite parade of all. Although it was really cold, I had a great time catching beads and watching Taylor Hicks (the Grand Marshall), Styx, and Journey ride by. Since my friend Alison's parents rented an apartment on St. Charles Ave., we went back uptown on Sunday to watch Thoth and Bacchus. I was excited to actually get to watch Thoth this year because usually, well all throughout highschool, I marched in that parade for cheerleading. Monday was deffinately more relaxing than Saturday and Sunday because we didn't go uptown until around 5:00 rather than 10:00 in the morning to watch Orpheus. I was so excited to see Sean Payton, the Saint's coach, ride on one of the floats. By the time Mardi Gras day rolled around, I was exhausted from the three long days of nonstop fun. This didn't phase me at all though because I absolutely hate going out into the big crowds of people on Mardi Gras day. Overall, I had a great time visiting my family and seeing all of my friends from high school, but I feel like the break was too short. I deffinatley was not ready to come back to school on Wednesday, but I'm pretty much never in the mood for school so that's nothing new.
